Conditions at Greeba on Sunday could best be described as changeable. It was sunny, overcast, windy, tranquil, cool, wet and scorching by turns and provided a real test to all the archers who turned out. Club Report 23rd June 2019

The archers were promised 19 degree temperatures and light winds on Sunday. What they got was a gusting 26km/h easterly wind which lowered the temperature considerably and made shooting a bit of a challenge. The round of the day was a WA 1440 (36 arrows at each of four distances-90/70/50/30 for the men, 70/60/50/30 for … Continue reading Club Report 23rd June 2019

Club Report 16th June 2019

Other commitments which included off island competitions and a calendar photoshoot, meant that only six archers turned up to shoot on Sunday. Conditions were warm and sunny with no wind to speak of, and even a brief rain shower did not halt the shoot. The round of the day was a WA 720, that is … Continue reading Club Report 16th June 2019

Club Report 5th May 2019

Conditions at Greeba on Sunday could best be described as challenging. It was sunny for most of the day, but temperatures were low and a gusting north-westerly wind made things difficult for the archers. The round of the day was a Metric I, essentially a Ladies WA 1440 – 36 arrows at each of four … Continue reading Club Report 5th May 2019

Club Report 28th April 2019

It was business as usual at Greeba at the weekend as far as the weather was concerned, with the scorching temperatures of the Sunday before replaced by leaden skies, a chilly breeze and the threat of rain. The conditions certainly seemed to have a dampening effect on most of the archers. The round of the … Continue reading Club Report 28th April 2019
