Penrith WA1440 & Double WA50 and Meriden WA1440

This weekend David, Rhys and Ethan Moore travelled away to the Penrith WA1440 on the Saturday and a Double WA50 on the Sunday.

The Saturday saw some very changeable weather with high temperatures, wind, rain and thunderstorms. After a challenging day for all archers,  Rhys finished 2nd in the Men’s compound,  David 3rd and Ethan 5th.

Sunday was the double WA50 which started windy and settled into a good day. All three archers recorded personal best scores which resulted in Rhys winning the Men’s Compound 1st place and David taking 3rd.

On the Monday they were joined by Natasha Richardson for Meriden Archers Stephanie Hall Memorial WA1440. The weather was changeable with rain for most of the day. Ethan and Rhys were tied after 90m, but with a miss at 70m for Ethan, Rhys took the lead and remained there to finish with a season best score. Ethan added 21 points to his personal best. David recorded a reasonable score for the day, but finished 8 points behind Ethan. Natasha was shooting her first competition and recorded a personal best.
