Expectations were high for the group travelling to Preston as IoM Club members have had a lot of success over the years at the NCAS shoot.
The Compound Team Trophy did indeed return to the Isle of Man with the combined scores of Dave, Rhys and Ethan Moore and Joy Gough securing 1st place in the compound team event.
Toby Young was the only individual to win a group, coming first in the u14 Recurve. For the rest it was a case of nearly – with Josh Trafford placing second in the u18 Recurve, Joseph Reaney shooting a pb to finish second in the u16 Recurve and Joy Gough coming in second, just 1 point behind the winner in the Ladies Compound. Joy was particularly cross having shot two eights that would have changed the outcome.
