Another busy session saw club members shooting either the Vegas or WA 18m rounds, with some excellent performances and a number of new club records achieved.

The Vegas round saw strong shooting across the board. In the Gents Recurve, Johnathan Gordon led the field and set a new club record, with Tom Rodgers and Richard Hainge completing the podium. The Ladies Recurve category also produced a new junior club record, courtesy of Erin Hainge. Compound archers continued to impress, with Rhys Moore setting a new club record in Gents Compound, while Aalin George topped Ladies Compound, breaking her own score from 2008 to set a new club record, ahead of Marie Hainge.

Records continued to fall in the Double Vegas round. Johnathan Gordon once again set a new club record in Gents Recurve, while Erin Hainge added another club record in Ladies Recurve with a superb performance. 

Attention then turned to the WA 18m rounds. Gents Recurve was led by Richard Hainge, with Radu Lavric and David Craine close behind. In Ladies Recurve, Emily O’Hara took top spot ahead of Barbra Harris and Caitlin Gelder. The Gents Barebow category saw Chris Crompton finish first, with Colin Moore in second place. Stan Gorry completed the Gents Tradbow, while Peter Howland represented the Longbow division. Compound shooting saw Peter Mumford lead the Gents Compound, with Joy Gough taking first place in Ladies Compound.

Well done to all archers, and congratulations to those setting new club records — another excellent showing and a great reflection of the club’s continued progress.
